Let’s Get Started
Reaching out can be both terrifying and exciting, so I hope the following information will help you feel grounded in what’s next.
~ ~ Here’s how we’ll get started ~ ~
Complete the New Client Inquiry Form
To see if we might be a good fit to work together, please complete the New Client Inquiry Form. It asks information about you such as, what kind of changes you’d like to see in your life, your availability for meeting and whether you’d prefer to meet in person or for virtual sessions, whether you’d like to use insurance, and if you are experiencing anything that might need immediate intervention. This form is HIPAA compliant and it takes most folks between 5-15 minutes to complete.
Consultation Call
If I think we might be a good fit after reviewing your New Client Inquiry Form, I will reach out to schedule a 15-minute consultation call (this is free of charge), where we can talk a bit more with each other. If we both agree to do so, we will schedule your first full session (initial intake appointment).
Initial Intake/Evaluation
Before this first full appointment, I will send you some forms to review, sign, and fill out with more detailed information about your own life (mental health challenges, medical history, current medications, important elements of your family history), financial and legal agreements that pertain to working together, a bit more about me and my approach, and policies (such as expectations for notice to change or cancel appointments). The initial intake/evaluation will not be like most other sessions. Instead, I’ll be asking a lot of logistical questions and we’ll start making a plan for what to work on together.
Follow Up Appointments
Once we’re past the initial intake/evaluation, we'll meet once a week (most common frequency) to build steady momentum towards your goals and feeling better. We’ll use a combination of approaches, tools, modalities, and exercises to support whatever will feel most helpful to you. See more about what you can expect in a typical session in the
